Wondering if anyone might have a similar experience.

TOGETHER IN HEAVEN

My marriage began

All Eros enflamed

Her beauty overwhelming

How could I be blamed?

Our bond not the Sacrament

God meant it to be

No Agape involved

It reflected not the Trinity

I more deeply found God

Thru Pope John Paul so dear

His Theology of the Body

Helped my vision come clear

I learned that to love

Is an act of my will

I then made that choice

I make it every day still

After choosing to love God

I chose to truly love my wife

As I’ve grown to love each more

It has completely changed my life

To know them is to love them

Love has a deep desire to know

I do not understand how

But it makes my soul grow

A soul’s capacity to love

The Church does explain

Determines its place in Eternity

That God has ordained

My Eros more enflamed

Now to Agape it’s united

Her beauty so enticing

To her garden I’m invited

My way to salvation

Is now clear to see

To love God above all

And My Wife more than me

Our love for each other

It acts like a leaven

When our lives on earth end

We’ll be together in Heaven

Dear father of four, I have discovered that the most sure way of insuring your love for your family and wife is frequent confessing {weekly]. You see, sin destroys love. When you rid yourself of sin and it's effects, you naturally or perhaps I should say supernaturally return to that state of love that we were created in. Love is an act of the will providing you are trying to love from a disgraceful state of sin, and love is also a gift from God as we were created in His image and likeness and God is love. God made us out of love and for love, then saved us because He loves us. The less we sin, the more we love. The more we love, the less we sin.

In the Holy Love of God I am your brother in Christ and my name is Royal

dad of four,

Your wonderful poem certainly reflects teachings of the Theology of the Body.  The Theology of the Body by Pope John Paul II is not just for Catholics, not just for married people, the Theology of the Body is for everyone.

Christopher West is scheduled to present a weekend seminar of the Theology of the Body in our state.  Many are looking forward to this special weekend.

Our parish has presented an 8-video series of the Theology of the Body by Christopher West in our parish two or three times.  People of my senior age group always comment, "I wished we would have had this teaching available to us when we were young."  Christopher West has a comforting answer-No matter where you've been in the past, you have the opportunity to pick up on the teaching now and move forward with it.  This is the "new springtime" envisioned by the late Pope John Paul II.
