Dear carmelitesisters, Who are you by first name? The solemnity of the truth of the Catholic faith is difficult to bear especially in these days of triviality. There is much talk of marginalization of persons although many articles of faith are trivialized and no one seems to notice. I believe the greatest threat to our faith is it's trivialization. As Jesus said when He wanted to be taken seriously, "Amen, Amen, I say to you". and " I solemnly tell you  ".

In the Holy Love of God I am your brother and my name is Royal.

The article is funny, cute and very true.  Thank God Jesus picked all 12, including Judas.  All is through Christ.  Yet, we have the Church that was built on Christ by His chosen Apostles.

Re: carmelitesisters's post.

Why does God need a spaceship?

My point is the inventor of the fable is somewhat off in their timing.  If Simon bar Jonah is already listed as Simon Peter, then this is beyond the candidate stage.

Reflection is always a good activity but this sample "primer" doesn't spark my brain.
