God loves you .
Have you, too, noticed that these Catholic Exchange forum dwellers are taking on maturity from getting used to having to express themselves?
Without naming names, we have a brood of old-timers who just hang out here and get their two-cents - sometimes, a very valuable two-cents - into most everything. That they develop their thoughts better and better here, others are quite willing to join in the threads.
For one thing, of several of you, your gentle charity shows, and who can resist conversing with a friendly soul?
To get to my point, we all seem to realize that some sense of practical Catholic catechesis is virtually, veritably missing out among the flock, and beyond. I was wondering if Catholic Exchange - all TWO of their editors, from what I know - might not want to open pamphlet-writing on specific topics to the fora floors. Posters could relate their thoughts from life experience, and faith, hope and charity, and pamphlets developed from the writing of lay Catholics who are just so very like whom we would want to read the pamphlets.
Out go the pamphlets - the Catholic Exchange taking on a wider audience - and, up goes a topical post to begin collecting responses, and further messages for improving the next edition of any pamphlet.
First topic? I suggest 'Raising a Mass-Loving Youth'. Though, perhaps, several topics could be floated at once, that a steady stream of messages provide for several pamphlets at a time, that one might be ready for the presses. Jakes would surely like to see 'Taking on the Culture of Death as Just Your Ordinary Catholic' - maybe a quarter of which he'd end up writing, from his experience. NoelFitz? 'How to be a Gentleman of a Catholic'. PTR? how about 'Standing as a Father among Fathers'?
Though it mayn't seem so much - I do live month-to-month on pension - I pledge $100.00 toward a first printing that such pamphlets can be distributed cheaply as one or two to an individual supplicant, and inexpensively in bulk to fill parish pamphlet racks.
Remember, I love you, too .
