 Hello everyone,

I am new here and I'd like to share my experience about Rome and other European countries.  First of all, I'd like to say that the whole world seems to me to be Catholic.  Every country I had gone had either a cross, a church, or the Blessed Mother welcoming you.  I went to Barcelona, Spain, Cannes France, Dubrovnik Croatia (very holy), Sicily and Italy, particularly Venice, Pompei, Naoples, Livorno and of course the heart of my faith Rome.  The history in these countries is amazing with beautiful churches dating back centuries ago.

At the Vatican, I had an audience with the pope, was blessed by him and got to see the tombs of the popes underground including Pope John Paul and of course St. Peter.  That was overwhelming for me.  I stood in the prison cell of St. Peter and Paul.  That was very emotional for me.  I seen the chains of St. Peter, Michaelangelo's Moses, and walked through the palace, or what is standing of Nero.  I loved the Sistine Chapel very breathtaking.

I was in the Catacombs of the very early Christians and noted the world was ALL Catholic back then.  It was clear to anyone who doubts that Catholicism is the religion that Christ started, that they indeed practiced that way.  The Eucharist is etched on the walls along with writings that were firmly Catholic in belief.  To anyone, this was the way it was.  Particularly being there and witnessing these things was truly amazing.  I love my Catholic faith and will die this way.  I will pray that others may find the one true faith of Jesus Christ.  Peace

Thanks for your testimony!  One day I'd love to visit the cradle of Catholicism.  Until then ... God be with all those who have already expereinced such.

God loves you . Benedict16, thanks for your sharing - BUT - It should have been in Prayer Requests, that you and we pray that we all get to have such a wondrous tour of old Christendom, too. Yes, 'Peace' - and, boy, would I be 'Grateful'! Remember, I love you, too . In our delighted glory in our Infant King, Pristinus Sapienter (wljewell @catholicexchange.com or ... yahoo.com)

To further my story, I prayed for two years to get to Rome, to see the heart of my faith and my prayers were answered.  I told God that although I didn't have money to travel, and never really wanted to go to Europe until a couple of years ago, from an awakening through Padre Pio the Saint, I still yearned to go.  My fiance came along and asked me to go to Italy with him.  Can you believe this??  My prayers were answered and God even threw in a few extra countries!!  Although I couldn't get to Padre Pio's tomb due to the distance and timing we didn't have, I hope to go back and visit.  God rewarded me this year with this Blessing and I will be forever grateful.
