God loves you . + Do you write in verse in your prayers? + Maybe, you ought to . . . +
+ - - Love’s tool of love - - + Oh, poor world! Restless, declaiming ‘I will not be used; I am me.’ But, of your me are you free? Or lost to confused appetites, Burdened in foolish drives? Are what you’re living really lives? Do we serve our weak selves To serve few of needier others? Born to serve God in love given Yet love hoarded to its loss; To love God and to love all Is Love’s first and greatest call. What of the self my will cedes That Love finds in me love? A strong brew of unwatered waste Congealed about my soul’s fall. Sin stain binds to my death’s horror: Lost heaven, lost self, lost glory. Make of me one so broken of my will Love, in your will I am but a tool; Take me in Your hands, Master; Use me well and use me up; Polish me in Your ways well worn; Then like a scepter, hold me adorned.
Remember, I love you, too Through Christ, with Christ, in Christ, Pristinus Sapienter (wljewell @catholicexchange.com or ... yahoo.com)
