Sad news. As if further proof were needed that the Anglican Church (and those in communion with it) have lost Christ after the "gay bishop fiasco" here in the states, yesterday a British paper reported that the killing of severely diabled babies at birth was acceptable arguing that "'strong proportionate reasons' for 'overriding the presupposition that life should be maintained.'" To whom do they pray?

Isn't this argument similar in construction to the "reason" for contraception first put forward in the early 20th Century? "Yeah, it's bad, but sometimes...." Michael "The Christian ideal has not been tried and found wanting; it has been found difficult and left untried" "The poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese." - GK Chesterton

His Holiness Pope Paul VI alluded to such results from the contraceptive (read: not wanting children) mentality in Humanae Vitae. In this single and singular document, he was as prophetic as any Pope has ever been. And Episcopalians, for their part, are contracepting to their own extinction. "Go forth and multiply!" He wasn't talking about doing 'Rithmetic.
