To be sure, the old red Soviets were no fans of Roman Catholicism, and I am certain they had no great love for Pius XII. That having been said however, there seems to be a certain anti-Catholic element in the West that has for years been itching for an excuse to shout this one from the rooftops.
This whole canard about Pius XII not doing enough during WWII is just that; nonsense.
Consider the source; it is written and/or promoted by anti-Catholic types who, judging by how they would so callously use the holocaust simply to smear another institution that they despise, are probably anti-Semitic as well. They were not even born in those days, and yet they claim some intimate understanding of behind-the-scene details of a situation they cannot possibly begin to fathom.
The publicly voiced gratitude of the state of Israel, and of the Jewish people internationally to Rome speaks for itself. Any sort of revisionist history is worthless, but in particular, this sort of libelous, pathetic revisionist history spewed by these Catholic haters can truly be disregarded as the nonsense that it is.
