"Put a cap on the amount of money that can be donated to political groups, election races, programs, ect."

I feel this will at least partialy solve the problem of intrest groups and large corperations having too much power in government.  Under my proposed law, corperations and intrest groups can still donate to certain political races, but there will be a limit to the amoun't they can donate. This limit will be universal; individuals, corperations, intrest groups will all have the same political power, money wise.

Again, pros and cons?  What should that limit be? $500, $20?  Do you think this directly adresses and corrects the problem, or is just another dumb law?  Is it practical/possible/fair to try and make the poor equal to the rich in matters of political influence?
