You saw what the enemy wanted you to see, that is to discredit anything God.
The reality: Christianity from it's inception has been despised because the enemy does not want a single soul to enter Heaven. Which says this to God, I will thwart everything you do here on earth. I will work day and night to setup traps and snares to bring men down and turn them against you. You didn't agree with me, so I will never agree with you! The answer of a once loved now despised. Hate persists because he was once loved. If you do not love, you cannot hate.
If I wanted to make sure you never worked a good days work, what could I do? That is if I am a not a good hearted person who desires to bring you into my misery? The enemy lives in misery he was anathematized. Not only this fine word, but the light and love of God was taken from him and his followers. The light was turned off. God is light.
The field is a free for all. A parable: the sower went out to sow seeds, good seeds. During the night the enemy came and sowed his seeds of weeds and tares among the good seeds. The following weeks: as the seeds began to sprout, the owner of the field (the good sower) noticed other seeds sprouting. Since these other seeds where not marked with his signature he let them both grow to completion. A wise choice, the good and bad were mixed together as the enemy was trying to choke out the good seeds. When time came to harvest, he sent the reapers who picked both and put the weeds and tares into a pile and burnt them.
Must be hard watching weeds grow next to corn. The sower from time to time sent laborers to pull the ivy and honeysuckle from the corn as they grew, while the fake looking corn stalks simulated real corn making it hard to discern for the untrained.
The field is the earth. The sower of good seeds is God, the enemy is Satan. The good seeds are souls God planted, the weeds and tares are the pawns of Satan or men and women who do not know or reject God. The reapers are angels and the laborers are messengers of God. The harvest is the end of the world. The enemy imitates God, and does a bad job, but for the untrained its good enough.
