Please pray for my son. He's really upset about stuff that went on at Mass yesterday and is threatening to start going to an SSPX parish. He's been really frustrated for a long time because he wants to go to a Latin Mass parish, but the closest indult parish is over 2 and a half hours away. We go to one of the most conservative NO parishes in our area (although there are others in the diocese further away that are better), but whenever there is a Mass where the DRE is involved in the liturgy "things" happen. Stuff gets omitted, readings get altered, dramatic presentations suddenly replace much of the Liturgy of the Word. It bothers me, but I can manage to put up with it in order to remain in a stable situation. However, he's a young adult (and an idealistic convert who's been reading The Remnant) and he's ready to bolt. He says he doesn't want to go to another Novus Ordo mass.

I should also make the point that the SSPX parish is a problem...not because they say the Latin Mass. As I said above, now any priest can do this. The problem is that all the bishops are excommunicated because they were made bishops without the permission/authorization of Rome.
