I read Mary's article about conversions to the Church. It is very encouraging. Unfortunately we are also losing some of our own. I believe the average American changes his/her religion 1.67 times.
My experience is mainly with Anglican/Episcopalian/Church of Ireland converts, but a good friend of mine was a Lutheran.
They do show us cradle Catholics up at times by their commitment to the Church.
