I must say i was shocked and ver disappointed with the video of Catholic father Michael Phleger, friend and supporter of Jeremiah Wright and Obama where he took to the pulpit in a Protestant Church and said and acted in a manner unbecoming a Catholci priest. It prompted me to google him and this is his Church:

I see no mention of the Mass or the sacraments. How can this "Church" be allowed to operate? I truly am trying to understand if this is a Roman Catholic Church? Anyone know or care to comment?

Deo Gratias.

We seem to be back together.

Bendicamus Dominum!

There is a seriuos issue on my mind.

I want to think and pray about it before I get back to you (ie y'all), when I am sure we are all together again.

Start ringing the bells and look at:

actually thier web pages to mention the mass but tend to use the more genric term services. I think the reason being that they are tring to attrack an minister to people who have come intially from a protestant background and the word mass means nothing to them , but they understand what church services are.

This is also from the web page:
"The Reverend Dr. Michael Louis Pfleger received his B.A. in Theology from Loyola University, his Master of Divinity from the University of St. Mary of the Lake, and an honorary Doctor of Divinty from North Park Theological Seminary. He has also completed post-graduate studies at Mundelein College and the Catholic Theological Union. "

looks like a very libral guy. i suppose a letter writting campange to his dioscease might be in order since he is openly supporting pro-abortion candiates.

fishman- I had same thought and actually did write to Archdiocese of Chicago with that exact question. How can Fr. Pfleger so openly support a candidate that is in direct and complete opposition to Catholic Church teaching? All the other stuff is secondary to that question. I doubt I will get a reply, but it again points out the difficult mission the bishops in the US have.

By the way, the following is how his Catholic Church describes the 11;15 am Sunday service: "Sunday service with a Celebration of the Eucharist (Holy Communion). Praise and worship with our Levites Choir, St. Sabina's Musicians, Spirit of David Spiritual dancers, liturgical readings, sermon and communion." Sounds very Protestant to me.

I hope that Fr. Pfleger uses the time that his Cardinal Archbishop has now given him to reflect.
