I have just submitted the enclosed as a response to replies to an article in CE:

Rmd13 and Momof11, thank you for your replies. I appreciate them.

I have tried to get discussions going in the 'Faith & Life' round-table, as we had in the past, with limited success.

The only way I can get a debate going is by 'piggy-backing' on others' articles. However the thread soon disappears into the outer space of cyberland and is never responded to again.

Is there any way we can get discussions in the 'Faith and Life' round-table? Can we get signatures automatically added to posts, previews of posts, as well as italics and quotes etc. in our posts?

The Theology of the Body section does not allow responses to posts. Can this be changed?

Maybe after summer . . . ?

There does seem to be a dearth of posts, but maybe folks get busy here and there and about, and just don't look much here as much as they might, or used to.

I admit that I visit at least FirstThings 'on the square' and blog before coming here. I look into several news sites. Those can cause me to blog one thing or another to MySpace, where they need some evangelizing, big time! Managing the remnants of my health, if such it can be called, takes up a lot of my days.

It does not help, however, that CE seems endlessly in a state of flux. And, I for one have encountered little in the way of 'improvements' along the way.

Now, here's a question - coming to 'contributions' and all -

Why on this latest Sunday (8/17) night was I informed that I needed to register (and could not login) again?

And, this Monday I can just login?

Plus, I find gray type on gray background irritating to my eyes, come to mention things.

These ongoing 'improvements' to CE are one reason I have been reluctant to spend my limited time to do so, here.

Oh, yes, too - why can I 'edit' here but not at other comment entry forms?

I am frustrated. I can post to the forum, but I cannot post on some of the blogs and news stories like George Wigels column today. What Gives????
