Help with Write-In options

I could use a little collective help here.

I have decided, given my location in already-decided-for-the-blue-Massachusetts HOW I'm going to vote. I'm just not yet sure WHO I'm voting for.

I know I am not voting for the democratic candidate because he's WRONG on all 5 "Non-negotiables" (as seen in this fabulous document: http://www.caaction.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=54&Itemid=95 or as seen in this fabulous video: http://www.catholic.com/support/voters_guide.asp)

But given the fact that, by deciding who I'm not voting for, I know my vote is useless, I am "freer" to vote for the RIGHT person.

Now I'm trying to discern among ALL possible candidates, and not a single one of them make me say "woohoo".

So if you know of some other candidates running for president in 2008, please post them here, as well as why you think they would be the best-possible candidate to choose.

p.s...if I was in a swing state, my vote would go for the republican candidate....

Be sure that whoever you vote for, by switch or write-in, is registered to receive any valid vote, at all.

States now reserve the right to decide who may be even write-ins. Thereby, in Illinois, which is probably another 'waste-state', I cannot even write my own name in. (I have done so before.)

My daughter, no friend to Obama and company, noted that she has seen Democratic lawn signs for 'Obama, Durbin (our other equally awful, and Biden-like CINO, Senator) and Davis (our rubber-stamp Democratic Congressmen) - O-D-D - the odd trio.

Though I suggested certain other candidates who offer closer affiliation with our own ideas, she did bring up that a wasted vote may be just the wrong vote in such a tight election - principle has to give some leeway for possibilities. She said 'maybe it will rain and the Democratic voters will stay away'. So naive - wet weather discourages Republicans more than Democrats. 'Then, what might mean a low Democratic turn-out?' I pointed out that many liberally-misled types do 'get wet' during the campaign, bladder-loss-wise, and then don't bother to vote; some even fail to register. 'But, in Illinois, such shortages are covered by whole graveyards of registered voters - all Democratic - have been since before I could ever vote. Why, when I was but thirteen, John F. Kennedy was elected with many a Catholic vote in Illinois - from DEAD Catholics.'

Warren,
Thanks for the heads-up on the technicalities of "write ins."
And I did consider your daughter's point about "all things are possible."
However, I also have a secondary motive to look to vote for a write-in or a 3rd party. I would like to send a message somehow that I think our 2-party system stinks to high heaven...and that I'd like to see that changed, too.
After weighing and balancing all possible (known) viewpoints, I think Massachusetts is the least likely state to turn red. If it does, then so have the rest of the states, and my write-in will still not have made a difference. (except hopefully for my secondary motive)

pessimistic? maybe.
just trying to turn lemons into lemonade.

Let us not forget that our Father-God can turn nothing into lemonade, and/or glory, as He sees fit. So often, we are less 'pessimistic' than 'short-sighted' by merely not-being-God.

Should we not look at our vote as a 'swing vote' in how God may use it? But, too, I like your 'swing' against our bewilderingly misled two most powerful political parties.

Let us pray for every party, candidate, office and voter. Of any political campaign season, or such seasons as Advent and Lent, just who does not need our prayers? Why, I am certain that with me to keep an eye on, my very own guardian angel just BEGS for prayers. (One reason - c'est moi! - that he has no one looking to take HIS office.)

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The Presidency is not the only office that matters.

Why not impress upon ALL candidates in ALL political races that involve your own personal, political constituency that you will not tolerate any candidate or any subsequent, elected official who is not avowardly dedicated to the right to life of all living human beings, born or unborn.

Let that be your driving force and do all you can to get others to do likewise, particularly the 50% of those eligible to vote who consistently
refrain from casting their ballots. Each of that 50% has been COMMANDED "You shall love your neighbor as yourself", yet they won't even get out and cast a vote for life - and that COMMANDED love of neighbor!

Voters and non-voters in America permit the cowardly, brutal slaying, each and every day, of more than 3,000 helpless, innocent human beings in their mothers' wombs. And many of those mothers are brutally, frighteningly pressured into pronouncing a "legal" yes to that infanticide!

Through legalized abortion we arrived at the point that - to the heartless - a baby is a "bother" and now many others are becoming bothers, such as students at VA Tech and high schools across the nation.

This has been done through politics and politically motivated judges. It can be reversed through politics, but not just by electing this or that president. There needs to be a readily perceptible awareness by all seeking office and all incumbent politicians, that our electorate will no longer tolerate - NOR, BY OUR THOUGHTLESS VOTING, CONTINUE TO BE COMPLICIT IN TOLERATING - the denial of life to 3,000+ of our innocent, helpless neighbors each and every day. Nor will we tolerate laws that permit the bullying into acquiescence of others of our neighbors, namely pregant women, so that selfish others can have killed the child they consider "a bother".

Life and Peace,

I'm with you there, Jakes.
This is probably the first voting season that I have so scrutinized the local and state candidates. It's actually been giving me more hope. There are some good, honest candidates out there. WE have to support them on the "lower rungs" so that they can climb.
