melodieu - delightful! 'Song of God'

I tend to 'put things away where I won't forget them' - HA! - in places doomed to my forgetfulness. Have you checked all those little niches?

I pray you happen upon the right niche.

My dear,

It's "Thank you (little-old-us 'y') for your prayers".

It's "Thank You (big 'Y') for answering prayers".

I maintain a perspective in relationship with the good Lord that at least acknowledges how 'good' He is at such as finding things, and how poor I am at merely remembering to give thanks. Though, I hope before I die to have the intimacy with our Lord like that of Saint Teresa of Avila, remembered in our calendar today (October 15), in this favorite story, which illustrates the intimate relationship that the saints have with God:

When she was on one of her innumerable journeys across Spain, her horse threw her as she was crossing a river. Soaked to the skin she looked up to heaven and said, “If this is how you treat your friends, no wonder you have so few of them!” Moral: We should bring everything to God in our prayers, even our reproaches. For a reproach, in the end, is simply our way of offering up to God our incomprehension of what He is giving us.
